Homerunmonkey.com is one of the leading sports retailers in the world, but, believe it or not, we’re still relatively unknown in some pockets across America. (I know, right?) So for the 2015 baseball season, we decided to step up our advertising.
Behold, HomerunMonkey signage in Major League ballparks:
Throughout the season, our logo and likeness was visible at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, Target Field in Minneapolis, O.co Coliseum in Oakland, and Angel Stadium in Anaheim. Here are details about the visibility of our logos, along with website traffic insight.
- Oakland Athletics (above) – Oakland provided a great opportunity for us behind home plate with large, prominent signage, which is why we decided to go with a yellow background that really popped well with the A’s colors. Web traffic doubled in northern California, even though the signage was visible for a mere three outs per game.
- Cincinnati Reds – The ball really started rolling once we implemented the Homerun logo on a small gate sign behind home plate at Great American Ball Park, home of the Cincinnati Reds and the 2015 MLB All-Star Game. We saw web traffic double in the Cincinnati and Columbus metro areas, two of America’s thriving television markets. Signage was visible for ½ inning per game.
- Minnesota Twins – The Twins offered us a unique opportunity via a virtual sign in straightaway center field that projects onto television broadcasts for three innings per game. This was our first television sign to feature the domain name Homerunmonkey.com. Because our visibility increased so dramatically, it yielded tremendous results: Web traffic tripled(!) due to the bump in on-screen time.
- Los Angeles Angels – Angel Stadium in Anaheim offered fantastic in-stadium branding with signage on the LED ring on the second deck, aptly named “360-degree stadium visibility”. We were also prominently featured on both immense outfield scoreboards. The logo(s) were commonly seen on television, so this signage was strategically aimed at advertising our local MonkeySports Superstore in Irvine, Calif. with the tag line “Southern California’s Baseball Superstore.”
Power to the Players–The 2016 DeMarini baseball bat lineup is available now!
We’re hoping to expand to more cities and stadiums next year with our innovative marketing and creative campaigning. Shoot us one on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram if you see our signage elsewhere around the Majors! Keep an eye out for more Monkey presence in the MLB next season!
